Parata - Emergency Binder

Parata helps you put together an emergency folder: a single place for all the important information your family will need when you can no longer help. Where everything is, who's in the know, what to do — in one place, easy to understand for those left behind. Most of us put exactly that off — not out of carelessness, but because it feels like one big, heavy project. Parata takes that feeling away. Instead of a blank binder, Parata guides you through everything important in small, calm steps. You can see your progress at any time, pause whenever you like, and pick up right where you left off. Your first entries — key contacts and where things are kept — are done in just a few minutes, thanks to the contact picker and automatic fill-in. "Not present" is a perfectly valid answer. No pressure, no red warnings — you sort out what needs sorting, and the rest can stay open. The result isn't a loose pile of notes, but a finished emergency folder your loved ones understand right away. HOW PARATA HELPS - Clear chapters instead of overwhelm — step by step - Visible progress — you always know what's still missing - Getting started takes minutes, not hours - A calm, uncluttered design with large text and high contrast YOUR FINISHED DOCUMENTS To print or share, Parata creates four documents: - The complete emergency folder - A one-page emergency cover sheet: Who to call? What matters medically? Who needs care? Where is the folder kept? - A guidance sheet for your loved ones - A recovery sheet for access to your digital life ALL THE AREAS YOU'D OTHERWISE FORGET - Emergency contacts - Important places & where your documents are kept - People, pets & commitments that need looking after - Health: warnings, medications, health insurance - Advance directives & key documents: power of attorney, living will, will — where they're kept, not their contents - Banking & finances - Insurance - Contracts & recurring payments - Digital life: accounts, email, passwords - Tasks for your loved ones - Funeral wishes - Final step: Who actually knows about all this? FOR YOU AND FOR THE PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT Whether you're organizing your own affairs or helping parents and grandparents: Parata is made for every generation — clear, calm and free of jargon. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU Parata stores your entries locally and encrypted on your device. You deliberately don't enter passwords, PINs or codes — only where to find them. You decide what you export as a PDF and who you share it with. The optional Parata Cloud is end-to-end encrypted: even there, only your device can read your data. FAIR Parata's core function — creating and saving your emergency folder — is a one-time purchase: no ongoing costs, no selling of your data. If you'd like to use the optional Parata Cloud to back up your folder automatically, use it on several devices and share it with your loved ones, it's available through a separate subscription. IMPORTANT NOTE Parata records which documents exist and where they are kept. It does not replace a will, a power of attorney or a living will, and does not provide legal advice. You don't need to have everything. But everything should be sorted.
