CINE WHITE BALANCE

Turn your iPhone into a professional-grade cinematography color translator, exposure meter and lighting planner. Built for Directors of Photography, Camera Assistants, Gaffers and Indie Filmmakers, Cine White Balance bridges the gap between the light in front of you and the exact menu settings your camera requires. Don't settle for generic calculations that leave you guessing in post-production. Get instant, calibrated menu step translations for the industry's leading camera ecosystems, live-sensor ND calculations, gel recipes from a real measurement, and the sun's position for any place and time. MEASURE Direct Menu Translation Engine: No more abstract data decimals. Read a light source and get the exact color settings required for your camera body — including Sony C-Tint, ARRI CC, RED Tint, Canon Shift, and more. 19 camera families, each checked against the camera it describes. Massive Camera Ecosystem Support: Native telemetry profiling for ARRI, RED, Sony Cinema/Alpha, Canon Cinema/EOS R, DJI (Cinema & Mavic drones), Fujifilm, Z CAM, Kinefinity, Leica, and Panasonic Lumix. Spot Metering Precision: Target exact fixtures, mixed-lighting spill arrays, or color-neutral 18% gray cards using an adjustable on-screen spot sampler. Live Match Delta: Lock a reference lighting state as an anchor and track real-time color temperature drift as you move across the stage or wait out changing weather. Visual Precision Gauges: Kelvin (2000K-10000K) and magenta/green tint on high-contrast instrument scales, spaced in mireds so equal distance on screen means equal visible change. EXPOSE Live Advanced ND Calculator: A true live-reading exposure engine. The app actively reads the Scene EV through your lens. Input your target FPS, ISO, Shutter, and Iris, and the app instantly outputs the exact cinema-standard ND filter required (ND8, ND64, ND128) along with the precise decimal stop reduction. ND Guide: Density, filter factor and stops side by side, for when somebody calls a filter by the other name. CORRECT Gels: Measure a source and get the LEE or Rosco gel that takes it where you want, where the light lands, and what it costs you in stops. Match mode does the harder job - meter the window, meter the practical, and get the gel that makes the second match the first. Mixed daylight and tungsten interiors, solved on the spot. PLAN Sun Tracker: The sun's whole path drawn over your live picture. Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour and shadow length for any date and place, with a horizon angle for valleys and buildings. Predicted Colour: What the light will be before you get there. Exact sun geometry, narrowed by cloud cover from the forecast. Drop a pin on the map or jump to where you are standing, and anchor the prediction to a live reading when you are already on the location. FRAME 52 sensor formats from ARRI, Sony, RED, Blackmagic, Canon and Panasonic, with recording modes listed separately rather than averaged. 18 delivery ratios including 4:5 and 9:16. Angle of view for any lens, and the exact pixel dimensions to set your timeline to, from 8K down to 720p. KEEP THE DAY The Day: Every reading you pinned, plotted against the sun that produced it, over bands for night, blue hour, golden and full sun. A jump in the trace where the sun did not move is a lighting change somebody made. Scene Reports: Export a day as CSV or PDF, with the stills, the rig settings, your notes, where you were, and where the sun was standing. BUILT FOR THE SET Zero Subscriptions / Zero Ads: Built by a filmmaker, for filmmakers. Pay once, use forever. Home-screen widget for your pinned reference. Haptic feedback on every tap, capped by a mechanical shutter simulation on capture. A guided tour that lights up each control in turn, so you learn the app inside the app. Stop guessing your color offsets and ND filter factors by eye. Match multi-camera arrays on a budget and keep sensor continuity across a whole day.
