Strike Weather is a private, no-nonsense weather app for iPhone and iPad that shows what's happening now and what's next. YOUR DAY AT A GLANCE A live sky that matches the conditions, the temperature, a plain-English summary, a scrubbable 24-hour chart with rain chances and a week ahead. Tap any day for hour-by-hour details, wind, UV index, rain and sunrise and sunset. RADAR, LOCAL AND WIDE, TWO HOURS TO A WEEK OUT View your nearest NEXRAD radar site, or a wide-area mosaic covering the US, Canada and Germany — switch with one tap, or pick a site by hand. Scrub back two hours of real radar, look an hour ahead with an on-device estimate of where rain is moving, then out to a day or a week. Turn on storm-cell tracking, wildfires, flowing wind, smoke, lightning, satellite clouds, watches and warnings, or hurricanes, and star your favorites to pin them as one-tap buttons. Tap a warning to read it. ACHIEVEMENTS A trophy button next to the Time Machine lists achievements to unlock as you explore. Some are hidden, and your progress syncs through your own iCloud account. RAIN ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN Turn on the Live Activity and rain or snow shows on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island whenever it's happening or about to start. WIDGETS FOR YOUR HOME AND LOCK SCREEN Widgets with a sky that follows the time of day and the weather, a warning banner for active alerts, a rain strip for the next hour and a temperature range bar, in Small, Medium and Large, plus a Lock Screen gauge and a radar widget. They follow the weather source and units you choose. MAKE THE HOME SCREEN YOURS Reorder or hide the sections on the Weather tab. KNOW BEFORE IT RAINS A banner says when rain or snow is about to start, how heavy it will be and how long it should last. Turn on Rain alerts for a notification 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes ahead, your choice. Where Apple Weather has minute-by-minute rain, timing is sharper. TIME MACHINE What was the weather on your birthday, or on the day of a trip? Pick any date back to 2001 and see the temperature, rainfall, wind and more, hour by hour, compared with today. EVERY READING, EXPLAINED Tap Feels Like, Humidity, Wind, Precipitation, Pressure, Visibility, Cloud Cover or Sun for a plain-language explanation and a 24-hour chart. YOUR WEATHER SOURCE, YOUR CHOICE Automatic uses the official service for the country you're in (the National Weather Service, Environment Canada, DWD, SMHI or FMI) and Apple Weather everywhere else. SEARCH ANYWHERE Look up the weather for any city, star your favorites for one tap, and pick up recent searches where you left off. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No analytics or tracking. Your location is used to fetch your forecast, is never stored, and goes only to the weather and radar services you use. Your preferences and favorites can sync between your devices through iCloud. GOOD TO KNOW - Radar and warnings cover the US; the mosaic also covers Canada and Germany; lightning and satellite cover the Americas. - The one-hour radar look-ahead is an estimate that moves existing rain; it can't show storms that haven't formed yet. - Rain alerts, the Live Activity and widgets are best effort: iOS decides when they can run or refresh. - Strike Weather is not a substitute for official warnings.
